School Kids Injured In Auto Crash

Ghaziabad, April 9: As many as 14 children aged between four to six
years were critically injured here Thursday when the auto rickshaw they
were travelling in collided with a speeding car being driven by a teenage
girl, the police said. The children, mostly studying in kindergarten
classes of the Ingraham Institute School at Raj Nagar were returning to
their homes at around 03 PM. Thursday when a speeding car driven by
a sixteen-year-old girl collided with the auto rickshaw.
According to eye witnesses, the car was coming from Kamala Nehru
Nagar towards the Hapur Road. The girl apparently lost control and
collided with the auto rickshaw. Fourteen school children, the driver of
the auto rickshaw, and the teenage girl were injured in the accident.
They were all taken to the hospital where the condition of the children
and the auto rickshaw driver was said to be critical. The teenage girl
was discharged after being provided first aid, the police said.

Toledo City 08.July:Fifteen people were killed and dozens injured
when an overloaded bus crashed into a concrete wall in the central
Philippines, police said Sunday. Police said the brakes of the bus
failed, forcing the driver to slam the vehicle into the wall along a
highway in Toledo City in Cebu province, 585 kilometres south of
Manila.The bus was negotiating a blind curve when the accident
occurred.Investigators said the bus, which was allowed to carry only
53 passengers, was carrying more than 60 people at the time of the
accident.Ten victims died on the spot and five others died while being
treated in hospital. Forty-eight others suffered various injuries.
